How to Edit or Remove the Countdown Timer in Aimlabs

This guide will show you how to customize or completely remove the pre-round countdown timer in Aimlabs, following the latest user interface updates.

The countdown timer appears before most tasks and is designed to give players a moment to prepare. However, some players prefer to remove or shorten it for a more immediate experience.

Accessing Timer Settings

All relevant timer settings are located within the Settings menu.

  1. Launch Aimlabs.
  2. Click the Settings (Gear) icon in the top right corner of the main menu.

  1. Navigate to the Game tab.

Editing the Countdown Duration

You can adjust the length of the countdown timer (in seconds) from the Gameplay settings.

  1. In the Game settings menu, look under the Interface Settings section.
  2. Locate the setting labeled Countdown Duration.
  3. Press on the displayed value (the default is typically 3.0s) and enter your desired duration.
    • To shorten the timer: Enter a lower value (e.g., 1.0 or 0.5).
    • To lengthen the timer: Enter a higher value.

 

Note: The minimum possible duration is typically 0.0 seconds, which effectively removes the visible countdown.

Removing the Countdown Timer Completely (Instant Start)

If you wish to remove the pre-round delay entirely, you can set the duration to 0.0 seconds and/or utilize the dedicated toggle.

Option 1: Setting Duration to 0.0s

As mentioned above, setting the Countdown Duration to 0.0s will cause the task to start immediately.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Game.
  2. Set the Countdown Duration to 0.0.

Option 2: Using the Skip ‘’Click To Begin’’ Toggle

To disable the ‘’Click To Begin’’ you can use the dedicated toggle for it.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Game.
  2. Find the toggle labeled Skip ‘’Click To Begin’’ within the Interface Settings section.
  3. Press the dropdown and select Yes.

 

When disabled, tasks will start instantly upon selection, eliminating any pre-round delay.

Applying Changes

Once you have adjusted the settings:

  1. Make sure to hit the Save button.
  2. You can exit the Settings menu by clicking the < Back button.
  3. Start any task to verify that your new countdown duration or removal setting is active.
